SEN Tutor Opportunities – Make a Lasting Difference in Blandford Forum

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional learning needs? Join TP Tutors as an SEN Tutor in and around Blandford Forum and help learners rebuild confidence, develop essential skills, and thrive through personalised education support.

Position: SEN Tutor

Location: Blandford Forum and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities available

The Role

TP Tutors is seeking caring, adaptable, and motivated individuals to deliver tailored one-to-one tuition for students who require additional support outside of mainstream education settings. You will work with children and young people facing barriers to learning including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, anxiety, and other additional educational needs.

This rewarding role allows you to create positive learning experiences that help students reconnect with education and achieve meaningful progress at their own pace.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, personalised tuition sessions
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learning styles
  • Support emotional wellbeing alongside educational development
  • Build confidence, independence, and learner engagement
  • Work collaboratively with families and professionals when needed
  • Monitor progress and adjust learning plans accordingly
  • Create a safe, encouraging, and structured learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Suitable backgrounds include teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, care, or support work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
  • Good organisational skills and reliability
  • Understanding of safeguarding practices
  • Ability to travel within Blandford Forum and nearby locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
