Job description

Make a Difference Through Individualised Learning Support

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to overcome barriers to education? TP Tutors is looking for dedicated SEN Tutors to deliver one-to-one tuition across Ashford and surrounding areas, Kent.

In this role, you will work with learners who have autism, ADHD, SEMH, and a range of additional learning needs. By providing personalised tuition, you will help students build self-confidence, reconnect with education, and progress towards their academic objectives.

Location: Ashford and surrounding areas, Kent

What does the role offer?

Contract: Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities
Pay: £25 per hour
Delivery: One-to-one sessions delivered in schools, community settings, or learners' homes

What will your day-to-day responsibilities involve?

• Prepare and deliver personalised one-to-one tuition sessions
• Modify teaching strategies to suit individual learning requirements
• Build learner confidence and promote independent study skills
• Monitor, assess, and record student progress
• Liaise effectively with families, schools, and other professionals

What experience is required?

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND
• Previous background in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, youth work, or a related field
• Good understanding of safeguarding practices and responsibilities
• Ability to travel throughout Ashford and nearby areas
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
