Job description

Personalised Education That Changes Outcomes

TP Tutors is recruiting experienced and compassionate SEN Tutors in Hampshire to deliver high-quality, face-to-face tuition in Maths, English, or Science.

This role focuses on structured, 1:1 intervention for learners with additional needs, helping them rebuild confidence, close learning gaps, and achieve lasting academic progress. We support pupils across all age groups—from Early Years through to GCSE (KS1, KS2, KS3, and KS4).

Role Overview

Position: SEN Tutor – Core Subjects
Location: Hampshire (home and community settings)
Hours: Flexible, with a minimum commitment of 3 days per week during school hours (Monday to Friday)

Please note: This is an in-person role. We are not currently recruiting for online tutors. Tuition is delivered on a 1:1, face-to-face basis only. We do not offer after-school, weekend, or half-term sessions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Planning and delivering personalised lessons aligned with EHCP targets
  • Adapting subject content to suit individual learning needs and profiles
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Reinforcing core skills to address knowledge gaps
  • Monitoring progress and providing clear attainment reports

Essential Criteria

  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science
  • Experience working with SEN learners in tutoring or educational settings
  • Ability to simplify and scaffold learning effectively
  • Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
