Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in a welcoming and inclusive school in Warwickshire. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child’s educational journey.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and thrive in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to meet the individual needs of the pupil
- Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and targeted interventions, previous experience with EHCP's and ISP's is beneficial
- Deliver structured intervention sessions (e.g. literacy, numeracy, or social skills) under the guidance of teaching staff
- Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and behavioural development using agreed strategies
- Assist with personal care where required, including toileting, hygiene, and promoting independence with daily routines
- Help the pupil remain engaged and focused during lessons and transitions throughout the school day
- Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and contributing to reviews
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
- Experience working with children with additional needs (e.g. SEN, ASD, ADHD, or similar)
- Experience or willingness to support personal care needs
- Understanding of intervention strategies and a structured approach to learning support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Experience in a 1:1 support role
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
- Additional training in SEN or intervention delivery

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
