1:1 Teaching Assistant – Full Time | Amesbury
Location: Amesbury, Salisbury
Pay: £90–£95 per day
Contract: Full Time | Term Time Only
Start Date: September 2026

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a friendly and supportive primary school in Amesbury, looking to appoint a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs within the classroom. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who is patient, adaptable and passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.
The school is looking for someone who can build a positive relationship with the pupil, encourage engagement in learning and provide consistent support throughout the school day. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will play an important role in helping the child develop both academically and socially.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have previous experience working in a primary school (desirable but not essential).
- Have worked with children in another setting, such as a nursery, childcare, youth work, sports coaching or holiday clubs.
- Are calm, caring and able to adapt to the individual needs of a child.
- Have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Are enthusiastic about supporting children with additional needs.

All applicants will be required to complete our compliance process, including an Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to obtain one), professional references, Right to Work checks and safeguarding training before starting work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
