Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for several roles available as a 1:1 Support Assistant the Bridgwater and surrounding areas.

This role will be within one of the Mainstream Primary Schools that we work with closely. There are varied opportunities within Primary aged schools and with a varied range of needs of the pupils. 

These needs are varied but may include either Behavioural Difficulties, Autism or Learning Difficulties i.e. Hearing Impairment or Dyslexia.

So we have opportunities available for all levels of experience and skill set.

The role will need applicants to be available Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm, with an interest or experience in mentoring.

The Candidate:


  • Good organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to deal with a variety of situations.
  • Resilient and confident working with pupils who have various levels of needs.
  • Previous similar experience working in a school, or in a healthcare environment.
  • Dedicated interest in mentoring pupils with needs


  • Qualification relevant to the role.
  • Experience with Makaton and/or Team Teach.
  • Full driving license and access to your own vehicle
