1:1 SEN Tutor (Core Subjects) – Stockton-on-Tees, TS23

£25-£30 per hour | Part-Time | Weekdays During School Hours

TP-Tutors is looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Tutor to support a secondary-aged learner in the Stockton-on-Tees (TS23) area.

This rewarding role involves delivering personalised tuition in core subjects while supporting a young person with additional needs to build confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve their academic goals.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 tuition in English, Maths and Science.
  • Deliver engaging lessons tailored to the pupil's individual learning needs.
  • Support a secondary-aged student with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback on attainment and engagement.
  • Build a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experience working with SEN students in a teaching, tutoring, support work, or mentoring capacity.
  • Strong subject knowledge in core subjects at secondary level.
  • Teaching qualification, tutoring experience, or relevant educational background preferred.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Reliable, patient, and committed to improving outcomes for young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
