Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: £90–£93 per day

About the Role
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Key Stage 2 with additional needs starting in September. This is a full-time position, working closely with a pupil who requires consistent, patient and understanding support throughout the school day.

The successful candidate will play an important role in helping the pupil access learning, develop positive relationships and manage their social and emotional needs within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with additional needs
  • Support the pupil’s emotional regulation, communication and engagement with learning
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school staff
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly SEMH and communication needs is desirable but not essential
  • A patient, consistent and resilient approach
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to supporting the pupil long-term and full-time
  • Reliability and professionalism within a school setting

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel)
  • Solid professional references
  • Completion of Teaching Personnel Safeguarding & Thrive CPD training
  • Interview with a trusted consultant from Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
