Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Weymouth

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Weymouth is seeking a dedicated SEN TA to join their fantastic team from September.

This is a rewarding full-time opportunity where you'll primarily support pupils within Key Stage 1, working 1:1 with children who have additional needs, while also providing support within the school's well-established SEN Resource Base. The school is known for its nurturing environment, exceptional leadership, and commitment to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

The Role

  • Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant
  • September start
  • Working primarily within Key Stage 1
  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
  • Supporting children within the school's dedicated SEN unit/resource base when required
  • Working alongside the class teacher, SENCO, and wider pastoral team
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
  • Helping to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

  • Has previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Is patient, caring, and resilient
  • Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Is confident adapting learning to meet individual needs
  • Is passionate about helping every child achieve their full potential
  • Holds relevant childcare, education, or SEN experience (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
