Each of our students has an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) and requires tailored support to help them succeed. Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children who require extra support due to special educational needs. You will play a key role in helping our students thrive by providing one-on-one and group assistance, adapting learning materials, and fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, ensuring they engage with and benefit from their tailored curriculum.
• Assist in the development and implementation of personalized learning plans in accordance with each student's EHCP.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where students feel supported and valued.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to monitor student progress and adapt strategies to meet evolving needs.
• Support students in developing essential life skills, promoting independence, confidence, and resilience.
• Address behavioral challenges with empathy and understanding, helping students develop appropriate social and emotional skills.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and external professionals to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies for success.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in an alternative provision or SEN setting.
• A deep understanding of the challenges faced by students who have struggled in mainstream schools.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
