Core Subjects Tutor - Preston (PR4)

TP-Tutors are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Core Subjects Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to pupils in the Preston (PR4) area.

This rewarding role involves supporting students across Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, and Key Stage 4 in English, Maths, and Science. Many pupils require additional academic support due to gaps in learning, SEN, SEMH needs, or being out of mainstream education.

The Role:

  • Deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, and Science
  • Support pupils across KS2, KS3, and KS4
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of abilities and learning styles
  • Support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Monitor progress and complete session reports following each lesson
  • Tuition sessions take place on weekdays during school hours

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring/teaching experience
  • Experience teaching or tutoring core subjects across KS2-KS4
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN and additional needs
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A flexible and student-centred approach to learning
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
