We are seeking Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist education setting that supports children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, often alongside additional needs such as autism, ADHD, trauma-related behaviours and attachment difficulties.
This is a highly relational role, perfect for professionals who are experienced in supporting young people beyond the classroom and who thrive on building trust, consistency and positive change.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils both academically and emotionally
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised support
- Help young people develop social skills, emotional awareness and confidence
- Support learning through practical, therapeutic and relationship-based approaches
- Be a consistent, positive adult role model throughout the school day
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or complex needs
- A background in youth work, mentoring, children’s care, support work or similar
- A calm, empathetic and resilient approach
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed, even when progress is challenging
- We can support with full time, part time and flexible work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
