Youth Worker

Job description

Behaviour mentors needed to work in secondary schools throughout Greater Manchester due to an increase in students at risk of exclusion form mainstream secondary schools. Our partner schools are looking for youth workers, learning mentors and behavioural specialists to work with students across the ages of 11-18 with social emotional mental health support needs.

Behaviour mentors provide students with 1:1 and small group support finding ways to reintegrate them into the classroom and ensure they don’t become permanently excluded. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring youth worker looking to make a difference and impact the learning outcomes of young people.

Teaching Personnel are receiving requests for Behaviour mentors across the local authorities of Manchester, Tameside, Stockport, Trafford and Cheshire East. We have positions that are full time, part time, temporary and in many cases will leads to a permanent contract.

To be eligible for this role you will need to provide school or educational based references. Additionally you will also need to apply for a DBS certificate so that you are cleared to work in secondary schools. Previous experience of working in a relatable field would be beneficial but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
