Teaching Assistants Wanted – Make a Difference in the Classroom

Are you a Youth Worker looking for a rewarding new challenge?

We are seeking passionate, resilient, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within specialist schools supporting young people with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.

If you have experience working with young people in youth clubs, community projects, outreach services, mentoring programmes, residential settings, or other youth work environments, you may already have the skills we're looking for.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students both inside and outside the classroom
  • Help young people overcome barriers to learning
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support
  • Contribute to a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment

What We're Looking For

  • At least 6 months experience working with young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilience, patience, and a positive attitude
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
  • Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
