Pay: £120 – £232.56 per day (depending on experience)

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Year 6 Teacher to lead a class of pupils through this important stage of their primary education. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing pupils for SATs while maintaining a broad, engaging, and inspiring curriculum.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering creative and engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments and supporting strong academic progress across all subjects.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
  • Working closely with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to support pupil achievement and wellbeing.
  • Promoting high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and learning.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Be able to inspire, motivate, and engage learners of all abilities.
  • Be a reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development.
