Job Title: Year 6 Teacher

Length of Role: 1 year – Starting in September 2026

A well‑established primary school in Darwen is seeking a skilled Year 6 Teacher to lead their final‑year cohort through an important academic year. This role begins in September and runs for the full school year.

You will play a key role in preparing pupils for SATs, supporting their transition to secondary school, and ensuring they leave primary education with confidence and strong foundations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with the Year 6 curriculum

  • Prepare pupils effectively for SATs

  • Track progress and implement targeted interventions

  • Foster resilience, independence, and positive attitudes to learning

  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency and high standards

Requirements:

  • QTS with proven experience in Upper KS2

  • Strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
