Year 6 Teacher (Full-Time) – September Start
Location: Blackburn
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational Year 6 Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive primary school in Blackburn from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential during this important stage of their primary education. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, foster a positive learning environment and support pupils as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.
The Role
- Full-time Year 6 class teacher.
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and challenging lessons.
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively.
- Prepare pupils confidently for end-of-key-stage assessments.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
- Promote high standards of achievement, behaviour and wellbeing.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience desirable).
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
- Has high expectations for all pupils.
- Is committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Is a positive team player with strong communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
