Year 5 Teacher
At Teaching Personnel, we collaborate with nurturing schools where you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners and support their progress through the KS2 National Curriculum. Supportive schools in M43 are looking for a Year 5 Teacher for the new academic year. The role will initially be covering the class for the Autumn and Spring Term, but for the right candidate, this may become on a permanent basis.

Job Type: Full‑Time
Salary: £130–160 per day
Start date: September 2026
What does the role entail?
The teacher will be expected to deliver engaging, high‑quality Year 5 lessons that align with school guidelines and the KS2 National Curriculum. You’ll maintain a positive, well‑managed classroom environment that supports academic growth, wellbeing and independence. The role involves promoting positive behaviour, supporting pupil wellbeing, and communicating effectively with colleagues and parents. Flexibility is essential, as you will adapt teaching to suit the varied needs, behaviours and abilities within the class to ensure all children are supported across the curriculum.
What are we looking for?
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Prior experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally upper KS2
- A proactive, flexible approach and strong classroom‑management skills
- The ability to deliver stimulating, effective lessons that engage all learners
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
