Year 4 Teacher – Full Time – Wigan – September 2026 Start

A welcoming and well-established primary school in Wigan is seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for a settled KS2 class within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The school is known for its strong leadership, positive behaviour across the school, and commitment to staff development. You will be expected to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that support both academic progress and personal development.

The role will include:

  • Full classroom responsibilities including planning, marking and assessment
  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching where necessary
  • Working closely with colleagues and support staff

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Have experience teaching within KS2 (Year 4 desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Be committed, reliable, and passionate about teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
