Year 3 Teacher – Summer Term (Potential for Permanent Role)
Location: Slough
Contract: Full-time, Summer Term (with potential to become permanent)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large and well-established four-form entry primary school in Slough to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join their team for the Summer Term, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils as they transition into Key Stage 2. The school has a strong focus on collaboration, inclusion and high expectations, making it a supportive environment for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.

The successful candidate will join a welcoming teaching team where year group staff work closely together to plan engaging lessons, share resources and support one another in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

The Role

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support pupils as they develop confidence and independence in Key Stage 2. You will play an important role in ensuring a smooth transition from Key Stage 1 while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and academic progress.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes for all learners

  • Differentiating lessons to support pupils with varying abilities and learning needs

  • Working collaboratively with the Year 3 teaching team to share planning and resources

  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting school initiatives where required

The successful candidate will help pupils develop the academic skills, resilience and confidence needed to succeed as they progress through Key Stage 2.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils in Year 3 and delivering engaging lessons that inspire learning.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (experience in Year 3 desirable but not essential)

  • A creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • The ability to differentiate learning to support pupils of varying abilities

  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues

  • High expectations for pupil behaviour and achievement
