Year 3 Teacher – Full Time Maternity Cover
Start Date: 4th May 2026
Contract: 9 weeks initially (until July 2026)
Location: Community Primary School

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 3 Teacher to join a fantastic community primary school from 5th May 2026. This is a full-time maternity cover role for 9 weeks initially, running until July 2026.

The school has an excellent reputation within the local community and benefits from a well-established and supportive Headteacher alongside a dedicated and collaborative staff team. The environment is welcoming, inclusive and focused on ensuring every child achieves their full potential.

This position is covering a planned absence in the first instance, and while the initial contract is for 9 weeks, there is potential for the role to extend into the 2026/27 academic year.

The Role

  • Full-time teaching responsibility for a Year 3 class

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum

  • Create a positive, supportive learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 3 experience desirable)

  • Strong classroom management and a passion for primary education

  • Ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
