Part-Time Year 2 Teacher – Tiverton, Devon

Teaching Personnel is pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Part-Time Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Tiverton, Devon.


About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support pupils as they consolidate key skills and prepare for the transition into KS2.

  • Pay: M1–M6 DOE (paid weekly)

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver creative, well-structured Year 2 lessons

  • Support pupils with phonics, reading, writing, and maths

  • Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage expectations

  • Create a warm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

  • Uphold safeguarding and child welfare at all times

  • Qualified Teacher Status (ECTs welcome)

  • Good understanding of the Year 2 / KS1 curriculum

  • Positive, nurturing approach to classroom practice

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Commitment to supporting every child’s learning journey
