Part-Time Year 2 Teacher | Southport | Starting December 2026

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a lovely Primary school in Southport to recruit a Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis from December 2026. The days are TBC in September, but it will be two/three days a week.

The Role

As the Year 2 class teacher, you'll deliver engaging lessons that inspire pupils as they continue their Key Stage 1 journey. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll help children develop confidence, independence and the skills they need for a successful transition into Key Stage 2.

The role is part-time, making it ideal for teachers looking to balance their career with other commitments while remaining in the classroom.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.

  • Creates a positive and engaging classroom where every child can succeed.

  • Has high expectations for learning, behaviour and pupil achievement.

  • Works well as part of a collaborative team.

  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
