A friendly and forward‑thinking mainstream primary school in Darwen is looking to appoint a Year 2 Teacher for a 1‑year maternity cover position. This role is perfect for a dedicated teacher who is enthusiastic about supporting pupils through the end of Key Stage 1 and preparing them for the transition into Key Stage 2.
What the role involves

Delivering well‑structured and engaging lessons to a Year 2 class.

Supporting pupils with SATs preparation and ensuring strong progress across core subjects.

Using assessment data to inform planning and personalise learning.

Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

Contributing to a collaborative and supportive school culture.

A qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
