Year 1 Class Teacher – Full-Time Opportunity
Kirkby, Merseyside (L33)
Start Date: September 2026
Daily Rate: £130 - £232.56
Contract: Long-Term Position
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in the Kirkby area from September 2026. About the Role
As the successful candidate, you will lead a Year 1 class and play a key role in supporting pupils as they continue their learning journey into Key Stage 1. The position requires confident delivery of phonics teaching, and applicants must have previous experience of this.
Main Duties
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Teach daily phonics sessions
- Monitor and assess pupil attainment, using outcomes to inform planning
- Foster a positive classroom culture where children feel motivated and supported
- Work closely with teaching assistants, senior leaders, and families
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and achievement
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has successfully completed their induction period
- Possesses recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Has completed phonics training and can confidently deliver this
- Demonstrates excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
- Is committed, dependable, and passionate about primary education
