Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Start Date: September 2026
Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Ferndown that is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious teacher who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential during one of the most important years of primary education. You'll play a key role in preparing pupils for SATs while building their confidence and ensuring they are ready for a smooth transition to secondary school.

The Role

As the successful Year 6 Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver creative and engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning
  • Plan and teach in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
  • Support pupils in achieving their best through effective SATs preparation
  • Monitor progress and use assessment to inform high-quality teaching
  • Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Encourage pupils' independence, resilience and personal development
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure every child succeeds

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
  • Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Has a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and end-of-Key Stage assessments
  • Can adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
  • Is passionate, motivated and committed to making a positive difference
