We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and confident Year 4 Primary Teacher to join a supportive primary school from the first week of March 2026. This full-time position requires a teacher with strong behaviour management skills who can establish clear expectations and create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.

About the Role:
As the Year 4 class teacher, you will take full responsibility for the class, delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum while maintaining consistent and effective behaviour management. You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, personal development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the Year 4 curriculum

  • Establish and maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom routines

  • Use consistent behaviour management strategies to support positive learning

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners

  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress effectively

  • Create an inclusive, supportive and well-managed classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, colleagues and senior leaders

  • Communicate professionally with parents and carers

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

  • Have proven experience teaching in KS2, ideally within Year 4

  • Demonstrate confident and consistent behaviour management skills

  • Be resilient, organised and committed to working full time

  • Have high expectations of pupil behaviour and learning

  • Be passionate about supporting pupils’ development both academically and socially

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
