Year 3 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Full-Time | September Start | Long-Term Maternity Cover
We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and experienced Year 3 Class Teacher to join one of our welcoming primary schools from September to cover a maternity leave on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and is committed to delivering high-quality teaching that enables every child to achieve their full potential.
The Role
As the Year 3 Class Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupils' progress.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and personal development.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience teaching within a UK primary school.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly Year 3.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to raising standards and supporting every child to succeed.

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Maternity Cover
Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS), dependent on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
