Maternity Cover | Full-Time / September 2026

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Welsh Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Brecon area. This is a full-time maternity cover position, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Welsh lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work in line with the national curriculum
  • Support pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and department

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
  • Have experience teaching Welsh in a secondary school setting
  • Be enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to high standards of teaching
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Be able to inspire and motivate students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
