Location: Pontypridd
Hours: Full-time, Part-time & Flexible roles available (typically 08:30 – 15:30)
Pay: £89 – £110 per day, based on experience (paid weekly)
Start Date: January

Are you a confident Welsh speaker with a passion for supporting children’s learning? We work closely with friendly and supportive primary schools across Pontypridd and the wider Rhondda Cynon Taf area who are seeking enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to join their teams this January.

We offer full-time, part-time, and flexible opportunities, making this role ideal for those looking to fit work around other commitments. You’ll support pupils in developing their learning and confidence through the Welsh language while gaining valuable classroom experience. No formal qualifications are required — just a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine desire to help children succeed.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support through the Welsh language

• Assist with preparing classroom activities and learning resources

• Encourage pupils to build confidence and develop key skills

• Help supervise pupils during lessons, activities, and break times

What We’re Looking For:

• Confident Welsh speaker (spoken and written)

• Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic approach

• Proactive attitude and willingness to get involved

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Experience working with children (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
