Hours: Full-time (Monday–Friday)

Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for early years education?

We are currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive nursery setting in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with young children at a key stage of their development, supporting their learning through the medium of Welsh in a nurturing and engaging environment.

This role is ideal for experienced Nursery Practitioners, Teaching Assistants, graduates, or individuals looking to begin a career in education—especially those interested in early years development.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting nursery staff with day-to-day classroom activities
• Providing one-to-one and small group support for children aged 3–5
• Assisting with play-based learning and structured activities
• Encouraging Welsh language development through daily interaction
• Supporting children’s social, emotional, and communication skills
• Helping to maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment

What Nurseries Are Looking For

• Confident spoken and written Welsh
• A patient, caring, and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
