Calling All Welsh Speakers!

Teaching Assistants, Qualified Teachers & Cover Supervisors Needed Across RCT (Primary, Secondary & SEN)

Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr Tydfil & Caerphilly
Contracts: Full-time, Part-time & Flexible Roles
Pay Rates: Competitive and dependent on role
Start Date: As soon as possible

Are you a Welsh speaker looking to make a difference in schools across Rhondda Cynon Taff? Whether you’re fully qualified, newly qualified, or completely new to working in education, we want to hear from you!

We are expanding our team of Welsh-speaking staff to support a wide range of Primary, Secondary and SEN schools across RCT. Roles available include:

  • Teaching Assistants (qualified & unqualified)
  • Welsh-speaking Teachers (Primary & Secondary)
  • Cover Supervisors
  • SEN Support Staff

About the Roles

Depending on your experience and preferences, duties may include:

  • Supporting pupils’ learning through Welsh across the curriculum
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons
  • Leading classes as a Cover Supervisor or Teacher
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
  • Encouraging a positive, inclusive, and Welsh-rich learning environment
  • Working collaboratively as part of a passionate school team

We’re Looking For Individuals Who Are:

  • Fluent Welsh speakers (spoken and written)
  • Passionate about supporting Welsh-medium education
  • Reliable, enthusiastic and flexible
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Qualified Teachers (QTS), experienced support staff, or those seeking their first school-based role

Requirements

Teaching Personnel can support you in obtaining:

  • EWC Registration
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Two recent references
  • Full UK driving licence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
