Upper Key Stage 2 Intervention Teacher (Full Time)
Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Upper Key Stage 2 Intervention Teacher to join our team in Blackburn. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about raising attainment and helping pupils reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils in Years 5 and 6, planning and delivering targeted interventions to accelerate progress in English and Mathematics. You will play a key role in identifying learning gaps, implementing effective support strategies, and monitoring the impact of interventions on pupil outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality intervention programmes for Upper Key Stage 2 pupils.
- Assess pupils' learning needs and tailor support to maximise progress.
- Track, monitor and evaluate pupil achievement using assessment data.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and senior leaders to identify priorities and support school improvement goals.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate outcomes effectively.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes confidence and success.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Upper Key Stage 2.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Proven ability to raise standards and accelerate pupil progress.
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to inclusion and ensuring every child achieves their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
