Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a specaliset SEN provision in Bridgend. The provision covers a wide range of complex needs and additional learning needs including SEMH (social, emotional and mental health), ASD (autism spectrum disorder), SLCN (speech, langiage and communication needs) and SLD (severe learning disabilities). The school ranges in ages from 3-19 so it is essential for a successful candidate to be comfortable working across varying age groups.
As an unqualified SEN assistant, your role will involve supporting teachers and pupils with special educational needs by helping create an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment. You will work under the guidance of qualified staff to assist with classroom activities, provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support, help implement learning strategies, promote pupils’ independence and wellbeing and support with personal care where required.

There are no prior qualifications required and further training will be provided by Teaching Personnel. It is key for all successful candidates to have a willingness to learn and be able to take direction in a fast-paced, hands-on environement. Furthermore, candidates that will stand out will be patient, empathetic and caring individuals with fantastic communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
