Job description

Support every learner. Celebrate every success.

Are you a compassionate educator looking for a more flexible and rewarding way to support pupils with additional needs?
TP Tutors is seeking experienced and understanding SEN Tutors to work across Swinton (M27), providing one-to-one and small group support to learners outside of mainstream school settings.

Many of the pupils you’ll work with may have autism, ADHD, anxiety, or other special educational needs that make classroom learning challenging. Your role will be to create structured, personalised sessions that help each learner progress academically, socially, and emotionally — at a pace that suits them.

Tuition is delivered face-to-face, either in the pupil’s home or a community setting such as a library. You’ll plan engaging sessions focused on core subjects, social development, or confidence building, depending on each learner’s needs.

We’re looking for tutors who:

  • Have experience working with pupils with SEND or SEMH needs

  • Can adapt lessons to different learning styles and abilities

  • Are patient, empathetic, and confident working independently

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS (or are willing to apply)

In return, TP Tutors offers:

  • Competitive hourly pay (£25–£30, depending on experience)

  • Flexible hours during the school day (Monday to Friday)

  • Weekly PAYE pay – no umbrella fees

  • Dedicated consultant support and regular check-ins

  • Access to CPD and professional development

If you’re ready to make a genuine difference in the lives of learners in Swinton (M27), apply today and join TP Tutors, where every learner is given the chance to shine.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
