Job Duties:

The English and Maths KS3 SEN AP Tutor will provide tailored support to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs, focusing on English and Maths subjects. Duties include designing individualised lesson plans, delivering engaging and interactive lessons, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to students and parents/guardians. The tutor will collaborate with school staff and SEN coordinators to ensure the academic success of each student.

Required Qualifications:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs

- Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

- Understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly

- Proficiency in creating engaging and inclusive learning environments

- Ability to track student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed

Working Conditions:

The Tutor will work part-time hours on a temporary basis. The role involves working in learners homes, local libraries or schools.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
