Job description

Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (In-Person)

Location: Coventry (Pupil’s Home or School Setting)
Hours: During School Hours (Flexible)

About the Role:
We are looking for committed and enthusiastic 1:1 tutors to support pupils across the Coventry area. Sessions will be delivered either in the pupil’s home or within a school environment, depending on individual learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide personalised academic support and help students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions
  • Adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles and needs
  • Support pupils with engagement and academic progress
  • Monitor and report on student development
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching or tutoring experience, or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of core subjects (e.g. Maths, English, Science)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply)
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
