1:1 Tutor – Cambridge
Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas
Setting: Pupil’s home or school
Hours: School hours, Monday–Friday
Role Type: 1:1 Tuition
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated 1:1 Tutor to support pupils across the Cambridge area. The successful candidate will provide personalised educational support in either the pupil’s home or a school setting during normal school hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions.
- Support pupils with their academic progress, confidence, and development.
- Plan and adapt lessons according to individual learning needs.
- Follow the UK National Curriculum where appropriate.
- Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, parents, and school staff.
- Monitor and record pupil progress.
- Provide regular feedback on the pupil’s development.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the UK.
- Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum.
- Previous experience as a teacher, tutor, or in a similar educational role.
- Ability to engage and motivate pupils on a 1:1 basis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
- Relevant teaching qualifications are desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
