Job description

1:1 Tutor – Banbury

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across the Banbury area. Tuition sessions will take place either in pupils’ homes or within school settings during school hours.

This is a rewarding opportunity for educators who are passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve academic success through personalised support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and tailored 1:1 tuition sessions
  • Support pupils in core subjects including English, Maths, and Science
  • Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and schools
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress
  • Maintain safeguarding and professional standards at all times

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience within the UK
  • Previous tutoring or classroom teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
  • Experience supporting SEN pupils or pupils with additional needs is desirable
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child Workforce)
  • Ability to travel within Banbury and surrounding areas
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
