Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

Location: Fareham
Start Date: May 2025

Are you an enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated teacher with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs? 

About the Role:
As our SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality education for students with a range of additional needs. You will work closely with colleagues to provide tailored learning experiences, support inclusion, and promote the social, emotional, and academic growth of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons and activities tailored to the students' abilities.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and external specialists to support student progress.
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Track and monitor the progress of students, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Ensure that students feel safe, supported, and empowered to achieve their best.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN provisions and best practices.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
  • A caring and patient approach to teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
