Transformation Director

Full time Interim Contract (3-6 months)

Pay: 350-500+ per day

Location: Northampton and Thrapston area

Role Purpose: To lead a focused, high-impact 3–6-month transformation programme across two Alternative Provision settings, driving rapid improvement in the quality of education, leadership effectiveness and learner outcomes whilst ensuring safeguarding culture remains strong. The Transformation Director will conduct a swift diagnostic, implement targeted interventions and embed sustainable systems that secure inspection readiness and long-term quality stability beyond the interim period. This is a pace-driven, outcomes-focused role requiring visible leadership and decisive action, in line with policies, processes and regulatory guidance.

Qualifications and Education Experience:

· QTS/QTLS · NPQH/NPQSL desirable 

· Degree (or equivalent experience) 

· Good standard of general education, typically English and maths at Level 2 or GCSE A-C/9-4 or equivalent. 

Experience: 

· Senior leadership in Alternative Provision, SEND or SEMH settings 

· Proven school improvement / turnaround experience 

· Strong understanding of Ofsted EIF / new Scorecard frameworks 

· Strong understanding of the Independent School Standards 

· Safeguarding expertise in complex environments 

· Experience leading change at pace 

· Board-level reporting experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
