Teaching Assistants Wanted in Norwich
Job description
Teaching Assistant – Greater Norwich
Are you passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives and confident in fast-paced, high-energy environments? We’re looking for resilient, adaptable individuals to support schools across Greater Norwich as Unqualified Teaching Assistants. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with pupils with a range of academic, social, and behavioural needs—supporting learning, improving engagement, and helping maintain a safe, structured classroom environment. While experience in education, care, or youth work is beneficial, a positive attitude, strong character, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are just as important.
You’ll need to be flexible, proactive, and confident building positive relationships with both pupils and staff, as well as comfortable stepping in wherever needed. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential due to travel between schools, sometimes at short notice. In return, you’ll receive competitive weekly pay (with additional pay for long commutes or extended hours where applicable), access to ongoing CPD training and development, simple online systems, and dedicated support from a consultant who understands your goals. Selected applicants may also benefit from our Guaranteed Work Scheme, meaning you can still be paid even if no work is available on a given day.
Driving licence essential.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
