Location: Berkshire – Woodley, Wokingham & Farley Hill
Hours: Full-time / Part-time (Temp, Temp-to-Perm, or Permanent)

We are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants / Support Workers to join our welcoming SEN schools across Woodley, Wokingham, and Farley Hill. You will support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and a range of complex physical and learning needs.


About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant / Support Worker, you will play a vital role in both the educational and personal development of pupils. Working closely with teachers and therapists, you will help deliver tailored learning while providing essential care and emotional support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom, adapting activities to meet individual needs
  • Assisting with sensory learning, communication strategies, and structured routines
  • Providing personal care, including feeding, changing, and toileting
  • Supporting pupils with physical needs, including the safe use of mobility aids or hoists (training provided)
  • Promoting independence, life skills, and social development
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

About You

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Caring, patient, and passionate about supporting children with SEN
  • Interested in both education (TA) and care/support roles
  • Comfortable with personal care responsibilities
  • Confident supporting children with complex needs, or eager to learn
  • Strong team players with good communication skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and resilient
  • Experience in SEN or care settings is desirable, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
