SEND Teaching Assistant – Speech & Language and SEND Support Provision
Preston | Full Time | Monday–Friday | 8:40am–3:20pm
£14.25 per hour | Weekly Pay

A welcoming and well-established mainstream Primary School in Preston is seeking a caring and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their specialist Speech & Language and SEND Support Provision for the full academic year from September 2026.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Speech and Language needs and additional SEND requirements within a nurturing and inclusive school environment. The specialist provision caters for children across Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 (EYFS–KS1), providing tailored support to help pupils develop their communication, confidence, independence, and learning skills.

The successful candidate will work alongside two experienced colleagues, supporting a small group of six children within the provision. This close-knit and collaborative approach allows staff to provide high-quality, individualised support while building strong relationships with pupils and families.

The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and child-centred approach, with an experienced and collaborative staff team committed to ensuring every child is supported to achieve their full potential. Staffing levels across the school are exceptionally stable, meaning opportunities to join this supportive setting rarely become available.

The school is also proud of its strong community values and regularly hosts fundraisers, celebrations, and whole-school events that encourage families to become actively involved in school life. Senior Leaders place great importance on building positive relationships with parents and carers, and as a result, have built an excellent reputation within the wider Preston community.

This role would suit both recently qualified Teaching Assistants looking to gain valuable SEND experience, as well as experienced support staff seeking a long-term opportunity within a welcoming and supportive school.

  • Monday to Friday, 8:40am–3:20pm
