Teaching Assistant – Specialist Provision – Wirral

A specialist provision in the Wirral area is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This setting supports students who have previously faced challenges in mainstream education, with the aim of re-engaging them and preparing them for a successful return to mainstream schooling.

The school places strong emphasis on building trust-based relationships with students, creating a safe and nurturing environment where barriers to learning can be broken down. Many of the pupils have experienced social or behavioural difficulties, and the staff work collaboratively to foster a space where students feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

The school’s vision is to develop happy, healthy, safe, and independent young adults who are confident social communicators. The leadership team values staff who are committed to going above and beyond to help pupils thrive and achieve their individual goals.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal Teaching Assistant will be compassionate, patient, and resilient. They will have a genuine passion for supporting children and helping shape their futures. While experience with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) is desirable, it is not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
