Teaching Assistant

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time / Term-time (plus training days)
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and experienced team. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils in their learning, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with autism in a classroom and small-group setting
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities based on individual needs
- Promote independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Support the development of communication, social, and life skills
- Help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and families
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Patience, empathy, and a calm, positive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
- A willingness to learn and engage in ongoing training
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
