Teaching Assistant

Job description

I am looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in Secondary Schools across Luton and Bedfordshire. OUr work opportunities are open to candidates with extensive experience, or graduates looking to gain experience to pursue a career in teaching.

This support role would include providing extra support for students during lesson time, under the supervision of the teacher. Candidates will be working with mainstream students of mixed abilities and have some specialist knowledge in the core subjects. This role would be ideal for graduates looking to gain experience in a school.

OVERVIEW

Full and part-time roles available

Providing tailored support, both to individual pupils and to smaller groups

Supporting students in the completion of class work, ensuring to break down challenging tasks in a way that is comprehensible

Collaborating with the teacher to produce engaging teaching activities for pupils

Working alongside the teacher to understand the responsibilities of the classroom

Gain experience and skills to manage behaviour in the classroom
