Teaching Personnel work closely in partnership with The Diocese of Lancaster Education Service and as a result we are working closely alongside a number of Catholic Primary Schools across Preston, Lancaster and The Fylde. We are currently in search of experienced teaching assistants who are keen to secure long term work specifically within Catholic Schools. We are looking for candidates who are confident upholding the Catholic Faith and participating in Collective Worship. The Head teachers we are currently working in partnership are not looking for practicing Catholic Teachers, however they are keen to secure teachers who understand the Catholic Ethos and will uphold the Catholic values.
Recently we have seen a demand for EYFS, KS1, KS2 and 1:1 Teaching Assistants. Whether you are an currently completing a Teaching Assistant course, or you have school based experience, if you are interested in hearing more about the work we are able to provide – please contact us today to discuss our partnership agreement in further detail. We are able to offer regular, pre-booked work to fit around your commitments. The majority of ‘supply work’ is pre-booked and long-term allowing staff time to plan their journey to school and be prepared for lessons and the working day.
Teaching responsibilities will include:
- Differentiating for the various needs of the pupils, and reporting back to the class teacher
- Assessing, monitoring and recording progression
- Creating a safe and engaging learning environment
- Managing behaviour effectively
- Providing feedback to parents or carers, where necessary
- Undertaking continuous professional development
- Contributing to the wider life of the school
Requirements:
- Level 2+ or equivalent childcare related qualification
- Child workforce DBS on update service or willing to apply for a new DBS
- Experience working alongside children within a school or childcare setting within the last 12 months.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
