Learning Support Assistants Required

Start Date: ASAP

The Role

We are seeking experienced individuals to help support various SEND students. You will be working with a range of year groups and will be flexible to support individual needs. Ideally you will have school based experience and have supported SEND before.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• To work in partnership with the class teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, the SEN Code of Practice (2015) and the Professional Standards of Teaching Assistants (2016) in addition to the schools policies and procedures.

• Proactively support SEN students within activities and life skills

• Promoting positive behaviour, raising self-esteem and encouraging an aspirational culture.

• To support SEN students to foster their development as independent learners, utilising Information technology where appropriate.

We're looking for you if you have:

• GCSE A-C (or equivalent) Maths and English.

• Ability to use clear language to communicate information unambiguously and listen effectively.

• Ability to establish rapport and respectful and trusting relationships with children, their families, carers and other adults.

• Good organisational skills

• Excellent experience working with SEND students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
