Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Wimborne / Wareham Area

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of friendly and supportive schools across Wimborne, Wareham, and the surrounding areas who are seeking a confident and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their staffing pool. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is keen to support pupils across a range of settings.
We are looking for an HLTA who is flexible, proactive, and happy to work across both mainstream and SEN environments. Whether you prefer short-term cover, longer-term placements, or a blend of both, we can offer opportunities that suit your availability.
Position Details:
- Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
- Location: Wimborne, Wareham + surrounding areas
- Start Date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities throughout the year
- Contract: Short-term, long-term, part-time or full-time options
- Pay: Competitive daily rate dependent on experience
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds HLTA status or has equivalent higher-level classroom experience
- Is confident leading groups, delivering interventions, and covering classes when required
- Is comfortable supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEN
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Is flexible, reliable, and adaptable across different school settings
- Is happy to travel to local schools (driving preferable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
